Fall at USU Means Chili and Chili Bowls
Utah State University’s Caine College of the Arts Ceramics Guild holds its annual Chili Bowl Sale, Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the patio area of the Taggart Student Center on the USU Logan campus.
The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each purchase comes with a bowl of chili generously donated by USU Food Services. Patrons have the opportunity to browse a large selection of bowls and meet the artists. Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted. Prices start at $8.
Funds raised by the guild sale are used to promote education of the ceramic arts through the financial support of the student organized USU Ceramics Guild. Money raised in previous guild initiatives has gone to purchase studio equipment, host guest artists and to send students to the annual National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference.
“The chili bowl sale is a prime opportunity to support the ceramics program at USU,” said Dave Christopherson, guild president. “We enjoy connecting with the community and giving them the chance to meet the artists and learn about their work.
“We all hope to see you there,” said Christopherson.
