Faculty Recital
Marcianne MacKay, soprano, and Lynn Jemison-Keisker, piano, are featured in a faculty recital in the Manon Caine Russell Kathryn Caine Wanlass Performance Hall. The recital is Tuesday, Jan. 24, and begins at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are available at the door and are $5. USU students with valid ID are admitted free.
MacKay is an adjunct faculty member in the department of music. She received her doctorate from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. She recently received honors from the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria, the Concours International de Chant de Marmande in France. She has performed in varied venues of Australia, New Zealand, Russia and Italy.
MacKay is a dramatic soprano who will perform the romantic and 20th century song repertoire of Korngold, Poulenc and Hoiby, as well as favorite operatic arias by Puccini and Strauss.
Jemison-Keisker is the collaborative pianist for the evening. She is an associate professor in the department of music and director of opera theatre at USU. She has national and international performance credits.
The department of music is an affiliated program of the Caine School of the Arts at USU.
