Engineering Students and Faculty Recognized during Research Awards
Ryan Putnam is the College of Engineering's Undergraduate Student Research of the Year.
Utah State University’s College of Engineering recognized students and faculty during its Research Awards Ceremony.
Dean Christine Hailey said the event was meant to highlight some of the most outstanding student and faculty research efforts across the college’s six departments.
Senior Associate Dean Jagath Kaluarachchi presented an award to each of the 12 undergraduate students involved in the 2015 Engineering Undergraduate Research Program, or EURP.
EURP Students include:
Spencer Bunn — Biological Engineering; Emmaline Davis — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Jaren Devey — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Kaisa Forsyth — Civil and Environmental Engineering; William Fullmer — Civil and Environmental Engineering; Christine Inkley — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Spencer Mathias — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Brad Richardson — Computer Science; Morgan Ruesch — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Chad Skidmore — Biological Engineering; David Wood — Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Nathan Young — Civil and Environmental Engineering
Ryan Putnam received the Undergraduate Student Researcher Award.
Lifu Xiao received the Graduate Student Researcher Award.
Lourdes Polanco-Boulware received an Outstanding Graduate Scholar Award.
Siyuan Wang received an Outstanding Graduate Scholar Award.
Troy Munro received an Outstanding Graduate Scholar Award.
The Undergraduate Research Mentor Award went to associate professor of Biological Engineering Charles D. Miller.
The Graduate Student Mentor Award went to Engineering Education professor Ning Fang.
The Faculty Researcher of the Year Award went to professor of civil and environmental engineering David G. Tarboton.
