EnergySolutions President to Speak at USU

Steve Creamer, president and chief executive officer of EnergySolutions, will speak at Utah State University Wednesday, March 7, at 12:30 p.m., in the Chase Fine Arts Center, room 150.

The title of Creamer’s speech is “Nuclear Renaissance.” He will speak about the future of nuclear power and about the nation’s growing energy needs.

 

The event is sponsored by USU’s College of Engineering and is open to the public. All are welcome.

 

Creamer is a USU alum who with his business partner, Chip Everest, purchased Envirocare of Utah in 2005. The two created EnergySolutions by combining Envirocare, BNG America, Duratek and Scientech’s D&D Division. EnergySolutions acquired Parallax Inc., an engineering and project licensing firm, in January 2007.

 

“We are excited to have our distinguished engineering alumni, such as Steve, return to USU and talk about issues that are important to them and our entire community,” said H. Scott Hinton, dean of USU’s College of Engineering.

 

Creamer began his career as an engineer in the Utah Department of Environmental Quality and later founded Creamer and Noble Engineers. He has served as CEO of ECDC Environmental and ISG Resources.

 

Creamer is a Utah native who received his bachelor’s in civil and environmental engineering from USU.
