Employee Benefits Meeting April 24

All USU faculty, staff and their spouses are encouraged to attend the Annual Benefits Meeting Monday, April 24. Health plan changes for the fiscal year 2006-07 will be discussed. The meeting begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Stevenson Ballroom of the Taggart Student Center.

Additional topics for the meeting include a “Health Plan Report Card” and information on Flex Spending and the Benny® card. A question and answer session is also planned with representatives from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Wells Fargo, Human Resources and the Employee Benefits Advisory Board.

The Employee Benefits Meeting heralds the beginning of open enrollment, which continues through June 30. Open enrollment provides employees an opportunity to add or make changes to:
  • Blue or White medical plans
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Life Insurance (with proof of insurability)
  • Re-enroll in Flex Spending (not automatic)

All current policies will automatically remain the same if employees do not take any action. Employees must re-enroll in Flex Spending each year.

HR benefits specialists will conduct “House Calls” again this year, where the plans will be presented in detail and questions answered. Watch the HR Web site for the “House Calls” meetings schedule.
