Electronic Voting Machines Introduced as Election Time Nears

Jill Zollinger, Cache County clerk, reminds USU faculty and students that election time is upon us, and several changes should be noted.

Zollinger reports these important dates involving the primary election. Early voting takes place June 13-23, excluding weekends, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cache County building. “If summer plans put you out of the area for the election Tuesday, June 27, please stop by and cast your vote,” Zollinger said.

Also, new electronic voting machines will be used, and some polling locations have been changed to better accommodate the machines. Zollinger suggests checking the newspaper for polling locations, or contact the clerk’s office with questions.

For information on the electronic voting machines or to try the demonstration machine, stop at the clerk’s office, 179 North Main, Logan. Information is also available on the Web.
