Early Researchers

InTech High School students spend every Friday afternoon designing new adaptive devices for people with disabilities at the Utah State University Assistive Technology Lab. A group of nine students is involved in the USU InTech Internship Program which requires them to use critical thinking skills when designing and constructing projects. The program focuses on changing perceptions and attitudes about communicative disorders. USU civil engineering student and InTech mentor Ryan Whittier says the AT Lab offers an environment where students can learn to make creations out of their imagination.
