Don't Ditch that Diet

Holiday treat temptations can be hard to resist, but you can lighten the load by defaulting to lower-fat food items, says USU Extension agent Carolyn Washburn. Hosts preparing meals and appetizers might try substituting fat-free products and add herbs in dishes to add flavor without fat. Using fat-free products can save 30 calories for every tablespoon.
