Director Named for International Students and Scholars

Steven H. Hanks, vice provost for International Affairs at Utah State University, announced that Jeannie Pacheco has been named director of Utah State's office of International Students and Scholars.

 

Pacheco joined the office in 1999 and was appointed assistant director in 2002. For the past year she has served as interim director.

 

"Jeannie brings a high level of professionalism and a strong commitment to the needs and interests of our international students as she takes on this important role," Hanks said. "Join me in extending your best wishes as Jeannie takes on this new assignment."

 

The director oversees all services and programming for international students and scholars and serves as liaison to USU offices, Federal agencies, professional organizations and other national and international institutions.

 

The office of International Students and Scholars serves as the primary link between students and local and government agencies around the world. Its staff assists with admission, advising on immigration and other matters such as academic, personal and social adjustments of students, scholars and their families while at USU.
