Each month Utah State University’s Dining Services focuses on one of its seven core values and selects one hourly employee who best represents and expresses through actions that core value. That person is named Dining Services’ Employee of the Month and Shannon Davidson was selected as the January 2016 honoree.

For January, the highlighted core value was DEDICATIONWe believe in what we do and that it makes a difference in the experiences of everyone involved with the university. There is work to be done, not time to be put in. We dedicate our talents and employ a good work ethic every day.

Davidson is a recent graduate from Utah State University and is continuing her job as an employee The Hub Food Court. She was selected first by her peers, then by The Hub management and finally by the Dining Services executive director.

Here is a sampling of her nomination from her peers and Hub management:

“Shannon has moved into a new ‘Trainer’ position in the Hub and is one of the most dedicated employees that are on my team. Shannon is always willing to pick up extra shifts, go out of her way to help her co-workers, and is always looking for ways to not only improve The Hub but Dining Services as an organization.”

“Shannon has worked in The Hub for almost three years and in her entire time being here I can always rely on her to help out. Shannon is a great asset to The Hub and Dining Services team and I cannot express the appreciation I have for her Dedication to her job."

"Shannon is a truly wonderful person to work with. She is always willing to lend a hand to help out and always has the best attitude. She has worked at the hub for about three years and every day when she comes in she puts all her effort into whatever she is doing."

"Shannon is never standing around. She is always finding things to get done in all areas. She is also dedicated to making her co-workers’ day. She is a pleasure to work with and everyone likes her.”

Davidson received a plaque along with a $50 Aggie Express Gift Card. The awards were presented by Dining Services’ Executive Director Alan J. Andersen.
