Desperately Seeking Speech Pathologists

School districts report a shortage of speech pathologists. Tough educational requirements and higher-paying opportunities in the medical field may be to blame. Becoming a speech pathologist requires a graduate degree and, as with many schools, admission to Utah State University’s program is highly competitive. Due to funding constraints, Utah State can accommodate only a limited number of aspiring practitioners.
