Dam Models Save Money

The Lower Colorado River Authority of Texas says small-scale models of dams produced by Utah State University engineers have saved millions of dollars in construction costs and flood damage. Models built at the university’s Utah Water Research Lab enable scientists to simulate river floodwaters and thoroughly test designs prior to construction.
