Construction Restricts Campus Driving, Parking Access
As work continues over the summer on university construction projects and upgrades to existing structures, parking and driving access on central campus is restricted in certain areas. Please note the following:
- New Recital Hall Construction. The access road from 700 North into the C parking areas west of the Chase Fine Arts Center (where the staff booth is located) is closed. Motorists with C parking permits can access the C lots using the temporary access road from 700 North west of this location, which is located east of the Industrial Science building.
- Janet Quinney Lawson building. In mid-July, the access road from 700 North west of the Janet Quinney Lawson building will be reopened.
- Industrial Science building. In mid-July, a 900-foot well will be dug on the southeast side of the Industrial Science building. During this project, the roadway on the south side of the building will be closed. Motorists can access the C8 parking area (west of Industrial Science) and the C7 parking area (north of the Natural Resources building) from 700 North using the parking area east of the Lillywhite (Communicative Disorders) building.
- New Student Living/Learning Center Construction. Champ Drive is closed between the Taggart Student Center and Old Main, and does not provide through access between 400 North (Highway 89) and 700 North.
