On New Year's Eve in 1998, Tulane University's new president, Scott Cowen, was on the sidelines hugging the coach as the Green Wave football team concluded a 12-0 season with a win over Brigham Young. During a celebration later, he donned a white linen suit and let the students paint his body. .... Kermit Hall, president of Utah State University in Logan, Utah, another non-BCS school, likens the BCS to "a vacuum sucking the air out of those of us that are further down the food chain."
