Classified Employee Association Scholarships are Available

Utah State University’s Classified Employees Association reminds everyone who is a classified (non-exempt) employee or family of classified employee that scholarships are available for the upcoming year.

Employees who are attending or planning to attend the university or who are providing support for someone enrolled at USU are invited to apply for a scholarship.

Classified Employees who are taking less than five (5) credits are eligible for up to $500 for a school year. The award can be taken in one payment or divided for each qualifying semester.

Requirements include:

  • Must be a current USU classified employee
  • Presently attending or accepted for upcoming year
  • May be either undergraduate or graduate
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA

Employees or family who are taking more than five (5) credits are eligible for up to $1000 for a school year and can also be taken in one payment or divided for each qualifying semester.

  • Requirements include:
  • Current USU classified employee or family member of employee (“family” is defined as spouse, child or grandchild)
  • Presently attending or accepted for admission
  • May be undergraduate or graduate
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • Credits required for applicants — CEA employee, 6 minimum credit hours; undergraduate family, 12 minimum credit hours; graduate family, 6 minimum credit hours

Applications and complete instructions are available at the Classified Employee website. Application deadline is 4 p.m. Feb. 27, 2015.
