Christopher Keeley — Letters from Iraq
Christopher Keeley — Letters from Iraq
Back-to-school activities are exciting and still fresh — classes are underway, activities abound and the first home football game is approaching. It's a great time to be an Aggie.
We shouldn't forget, however, that there are still a number of students, faculty and staff who have not returned to campus this fall. They are either stationed in Iraq, involved directly in activities there, or are in surrounding areas providing logistical support. And from recent announcements, many of those serving will not be returning as soon as was anticipated.
Christopher Keeley was working as a staff assistant in Utah State's Extension Conference Services and was working on his MBA at Utah State when he was called to active duty. He is from Hyrum, Utah, and is a member of the Utah National Guard specializing in counterintelligence and is a Korean linguist.
A Web site has been posted by Extension with a number of messages from Christopher. He provides insights and observations — from weather updates (it's cooling off but it's still over 100 degrees every day) to the techniques of hair trimming in Iraq.Take a look at Christopher's messages home.
