Child Day Care Nutrition Program Receives National Award
The Child Day Care Nutrition Program at the Center for Persons with Disabilities (CPD) was selected as one of 32 recipients nationally to receive the Victory Against Hunger Award, presented by the Congressional Hunger Center. The award is given annually to agencies involved in fighting hunger through improving access to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The Congressional Hunger Center facilitates organizations in their fight against hunger, and works to develop leaders in this area. Utah Senator Robert Bennett nominated the program as a group making an exceptional contribution to the community and state. As a recipient, the program was awarded $1,000.
