Champ Drive Closure
The east portion of Champ Drive will be closed to traffic Friday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to facilitate an equipment delivery and placement at the Family Life Building.
It’s been a busy season for road closures and detours, and another one is approaching.
On Friday, June 19, Champ Drive will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The closure is necessary to allow a large crane to be on site to lift a condenser onto the roof of the Family Life Building.
USU Parking and Transportation Services will make arrangements for people who park in the Purple lot and for parents who need access for drop-off and pick-up at the Child Development lab. Normal access to the Purple lot and the Child Development lab on Champ Drive via the U.S. 89 entrance to campus will be available prior to the 9 a.m. work time and the anticipated 2 p.m. completion.
Those who need to access the Purple lot or lab during the closure should travel via 800 east from 700 north using the fire lane between the Taggart Student Center and the LDS Institute. Signage will be posted for this temporary access. Anyone with questions about accessing the Purple lot can contact USU Parking and Transportation Services, 797-3414.
Those who might have concerns about the crane and condenser project should contact Linda Hudson at USU Facilities Customer Service, (435) 797-3534, Linda.Hudson@usu.edu.
