Ceramics Guild Hosts Guest Artist in Workshop

The Utah State University Ceramics Guild hosts several sales during the year to provide funding for a number of activities, including presentations by guest artists. The guild opens the year with guest artist Lynn Munns, who presents a ceramic arts workshop focusing on wheel thrown ceramic forms.
 
The workshop is Friday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Oct. 9, in Fine Arts Visual room 123. The workshop is free and open to the public. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 and run until 7:30 p.m. with a two-hour lunch break. The Saturday session runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
Munns is the Division of Fine Arts chair and ceramics program instructor at Casper College in Casper, Wyo. He is a former board member and chair of the Wyoming Arts Council, and former board member of the National Association of State Arts Agencies. He has conducted numerous workshops in ceramics at Anderson Ranch, Peters Valley Craft Education Center, Carbondale Clay Center and at the Rocky Mountain Workshops for the Arts.
 
The workshop coincides with College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences events scheduled during homecoming weekend (see Archives).
