Celebrating With 4-H Youth and Leaders
Utah State University President Stan Albrecht and First Lady Joyce Albrecht joined more than 350 4-Hers, volunteers and Extension faculty at the Annual 4-H Contests Awards Banquet. The event was held Tuesday evening, July 12, in the Taggart Student Center's Stevenson Ballroom.
The youth, representing 24 Utah counties, compete for scholarships, prizes and a chance to go to regional and national competitions in more than 30 categories during the annual event.
The state of Utah boasts more than 100,000 4-Hers and 12,000 volunteer leaders, giving the state the highest per capita participation in the nation. Utah State University Extension coordinates 4-H programs in the state.
