Celebrate, Learn About Aztecs, Inca, Maya at USU's Museum Of Anthropology

In the continuation of its Saturday activity series, Utah State University’s Museum of Anthropology will host an “Aztec, Inca, Maya” day March 1. USU students and members of the public are invited to the museum any time during the 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday hours.

Guests will learn about the Aztecs, Incans and Mayans, three separate and distinct civilizations from Central and South America. Visitors also can participate in the Meso-American marketplace that showcases crafts and food from these ancient civilizations. A tour will also be provided in addition to an exhibit of Mayan artifacts.

 

“This is a chance to learn more about these people and the great things they accomplished,” said museum student Ashley Smith. “At the time of European contact, these cultures had cities to rival those in Europe.’”

 

The USU Museum of Anthropology is on the USU campus in the south turret of the historic Old Main building, room 252. Free parking is available in the adjacent lot, south of the building.
