CEHS Week celebrates Education and Human Services at USU
Join the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services in celebrating CEHS week. This year’s lineup includes games, service, research, a world class pep talk and the return of HPER night!
Monday Nov. 10
All day: Watch for apples. They’ll be handed out to students around the campus with flyers about the week’s events.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sunburst Lounge, Taggart Student Center: Join us for Minute to Win It Games!
7 to 9 p.m. at Romney Stadium: CEHS will participate in Stuff-A-Bus, the largest food drive in Cache Valley.
“Students hop on to Aggie Shuttles and journey around the community asking for non-perishable items to donate to the Cache Valley Food Pantry. Grab a coat and bring your friends to participate in this signature event!”
Tuesday Nov. 11
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Research and Refreshments introduces research from each of the CEHS departments.
Wednesday Nov. 12
11:30 a.m. in the Taggart Student Center Ballroom: Thurl Bailey [http://cehsatusu.blogspot.com/2014/10/save-date-thurl-bailey-to-speak-during.html] is the Common Hour speaker. The public is invited!
Thursday Nov. 13
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at various buildings on campus: CEHS holds its Veteran’s Day Service Project. Tables will be set up at the Quad, Merrill-Cazier Library, TSC, and Education buildings, where you can write thank you notes to local veterans. Hot chocolate will be served on the Quad and in the Education Building.
Friday Nov. 14
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Enjoy Cookies with the Council throughout Education and Human Service buildings on campus. (Family Life, Lillywhite, HPER, and Education)
9 p.m. to midnight: HPER Night! Come for games, activities, prizes and the screening of the film TEACH hosted by Queen Latifah.
Saturday November 15
Join us at 11:30 a.m. for a tailgate party before the football game (Utah State vs. University of New Mexico). Pancakes will be served. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. at Romney Stadium.
