“It’s great to have my work recognized by these folks and be included with such legendary artists on a year-end list like this,” Christiansen said. “It tells me that my work is making an impact and getting noticed by many people I respect.”
Christiansen is recognized as one of the world’s preeminent guitarists and educators. A recording artist, writer, educator and performer, he has played and taught around the globe for the last decade. He has performed with artists like Danny Gottlieb, James Moody, Jeremy Allen and many world-renowned contemporary jazz artists.
“Many of the other artists on this list have been heroes of mine so I’m humbled and excited to be in their company,” Christiansen said. “I’m feeling confident about the direction my music is heading and feel compelled to keep moving in my current direction. I’m looking forward to putting out another record in the next year or so.”
