Branching Out
USU computer scientists are developing a PRRLT or “Pseudo Rapidly-exploring Random Leafy Tree” algorithm to improve communication between robots. Increasingly used in military and workplace applications, robots are often required to operate as a team. PRRLT could overcome shortcomings of existing line-of-sight radio communications, which are often foiled by physical obstacles.
