Be Mindful

A unique eight-week program based on mindfulness concepts begins Wednesday, June 13, at 11:30 a.m. Those interested in participating in the free program should contact Patience McGinnis at the Counseling Center, (435) 797-1012, or via email at pmcginnis@cc.usu.edu.

Participants will receive instruction in mindfulness meditation, body awareness and gentle movement. Exercises for daily practice will be provided.

“All of us have the ability to be mindful. All it involves is cultivating our ability to pay attention in the present moment. Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally. The path to it in any moment lies no farther than your own body and mind and your own breathing.” Jon Kabat-Zinn
