Bark Beetle Invasion

From remote mountain forests to suburban landscapes, spruce engraver beetles are infesting spruce trees throughout Utah. Trees weakened by years of drought are especially vulnerable to the native insect, says Utah State University professor Maggie Wolf. To prevent infestation in your yard, Wolf recommends deep watering of trees.
