Activity on the Utah State University campus is picking up — the energy level is noticeable. President Albrecht admitted that summer can get a little lonely on campus without many students around.
All that changes Aug. 28 when fall semester begins at Utah State University. Activity picks up not only on the Logan campus but at USU’s branch campuses and education centers around the state. President Albrecht, and many more, are excited to see the increased activity and the ever-increasing number of students. Utah State University extends a warm welcome for the exciting year to come. A number of activities are planned for the first week of school to get the year off to an exciting start (see schedule below).
In welcome comments to the 1,500-plus students who attended USU’s Connections program, President Albrecht described the incoming freshman class. It is among the largest class in a number of years. It is geographically diverse and it is among the most academically prepared.
Among Utah State’s incoming class are freshmen who represent some of the best and brightest from the region’s high schools. Many were featured in a promotional campaign that created posters highlighting the dreams and aspirations of future college students and entering USU freshmen, including Brady Mathews from Viewmont, MaKenzie Martin from Snake River, Vic Carlson from SkyView and Sarah Swenson from Logan.
