Awareness Can Prevent Violence
College students are at highest risk of sexual assault when they first arrive on campus until Thanksgiving break. USU’s Sexual Assault and Anti-Violence Information Office offers these tips. Don’t be a silent bystander; be independent and aware; be assertive; and know your sexual boundaries. Remember that alcohol and drugs can impair responsible decisions.
USU’s SAAVI office has updated its Web site to provide USU students, faculty and staff with rapid access to helpful resources and information about sexual violence. USU is the only college or university in the state with a full-time position dedicated to sexual assault prevention.
