 Art Students Design Utah State's Holiday Card 

Graphic design is just one of the many places where creativity and technology intersect on Utah State’s campus. This year students from Bob Winward’s graphic design courses used digital illustration, photos, original illustrations and computer art to design a holiday card for the president’s office. The cards showcase student creativity while expressing holiday greetings.

Jeremiah Murray created the card that was selected by Kermit and Phyllis Hall to be used as their greeting card. Other top finalists included Jennifer Ward, Mike Daines, Eric Westover, Dave Barton, Jen Ward, Jon Smith and Rebecca Humphreys. Pictured here are the four top entries.

The art students were mentored by professor Robert Winward. Former president of the University and College Design Association, Winward has been recognized nationally for his innovative design. Utah State’s 200 graphic design students are currently engaged in creating promotional materials for community causes, educational materials for several National Parks, and watches for Swatch, based in Switzerland.

A $125 "Academics First" scholarship was awarded to Jeremiah, with $100, $75 and $50 going to the closest runners-up.
