Arielle Ballard is Dining Services' November Employee of the Month.
Each month Utah State University’s Dining Services focuses on one of its seven core values and selects an hourly employee who exemplifies the month’s core value. For October, Dining Services highlighted RESPECT – “We treat others as we should want to be treated, always taking people into account as we make decisions. We respect other people’s values, ideas, time and opinions. No one person is any more important than the other. If there are differences, they are handles with open, honest communication.”
The Hub employee Arielle Ballard was named the November Employee of the Month. She was first selected by her peers, then by The Hub management and finally by Dining Services Executive Director Alan J. Andersen.
“Arielle is definitely my #1 employee when it comes to RESPECT,” her nomination said. “She is friends with every single employee here regardless of how long they have been here or their differences in life. She makes sure everyone feels included, she even goes out of her way and plans “HUB Parties” outside of work and invites EVERYONE. Arielle is always one that has come to me and voiced her concerns about people or operational issues and we always have open honest discussions about how we can fix any issues or what I need to do to help employees more. She is also not scared to jump in and help when an employee needs it, and isn’t scared to tell them if they are doing something incorrectly and teaches them the correct ways. Employee’s love Arielle and respects her back and sees her as a great friend and confidant. Arielle is also extremely respectful towards customers. She has some of the best customer service around in the Hub (especially in Taco Time). She memorizes customers’ orders and has their food made before the customer has even paid. She memorizes names and always greets them with a smile and genuinely thanks them for coming in.”
As November Dining Services’ Employee of the Month, Ballard received a plaque and a $50 Aggie Express Gift Card, presented by Andersen.
