AI: To Build or Not To Build?

USU computer scientist Hugo de Garis warns that world controversy will flare in the not-so-distant future over the wisdom of building superintelligent machines. In his recent book, "The Artilect War," de Garis writes that he wants to build artificial brains as smart as they can be. On the other hand, he's terrified of sinister scenarios that might ensue from the technology.
