Aggie Becomes Jordan’s Planning Minister

Utah State University graduate Taysir Smadi was sworn in February 20th as Jordan’s minister of planning and international cooperation. Smadi earned a Ph.D. in economics at Utah State, where he majored in international trade and economic development. He previously served as the ministry’s secretary general, a post he had held since May 2004.
