A Sweet Welcome

Utah State University President Stan L. Albrecht and First Lady Joyce Albrecht hosted 35 new faculty members and spouses at the President’s Home Monday, Aug. 21, following a day-long new faculty orientation.

Deans of Utah State’s seven colleges, department heads and university administrators attended the evening reception. USU Provost Raymond Coward and his spouse, Andrea, greeted the new faculty members as well.

During the day’s orientation participants learned about the university and heard from various administrators.

Following the reception, Joyce Albrecht presented the new faculty members and administrators a bottle of her homemade raspberry jam and a loaf of bread donated by Crumb Brother’s Bakery. Some of the raspberries were grown and picked by the Albrechts.
