A Pumpkinpalooza at the Utah Botanical Center

Join Utah State University Extension and the Utah Botanical Center for a free celebration of pumpkins and Halloween fun Monday, Oct. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the Utah House, 920 S. 50 W., Kaysville.

There will be pumpkins, donated by Pack Pumpkin Patch, to carve or paint, and master gardeners to explain some pumpkin anatomy and how to store seeds for spring planting. Other activities include a night time scavenger hunt, bat crafts, Halloween stories, games and tasty seasonal snacks. Guests take home the fun and leave the mess behind.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a special appearance from Chitters, a great horned owl from the Ogden Nature Center. Costumes are encouraged for children of all ages.
