A Night of Contrast at USU
The Utah State University Women’s Choir presents “Black and White” Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m., in the Performance Hall, on the university campus.
“Contrasts, dichotomies, differences, all are part of life,” said Michael Huff, director of the USU Women’s Choir. “This concert offers snapshots of musical and poetic contrasts through the amazing artistry of the Women’s Choir.”
The choir will perform works by various artists including Michael Jackson, choosing pieces that illustrate contrasts distinctly.
The Women’s Choir is one of the few non-auditioned ensembles that perform publicly on campus. Students from all academic disciplines and studies may join the choir. The choir specializes in choral works from the last 500 years, performing in various languages and styles. Under the direction of Michael Huff, the Women’s Choir is open to all treble voices eager for a high quality musical experience.
“This group of talented ladies will sing the contrasting musical pieces with artistry, showing the audience how beautiful differences can be,” said Huff.
Tickets for “Black and White” are $10 general admission, $8 seniors and youth, $5 USU faculty and staff and free for USU students with ID.
