9-11 Commemorated at Football Game

Utah State's first home football game falls on the third anniversary of the September 11 terrorism strikes. The anniversary will be acknowledged with several activities prior to and during the game.

During pre-game activities, 10,000 American flags will be distributed, and the crowd is encouraged to wave the flags at appropriate times, including during the national anthem.  Following Utah State's alma mater song, the crowd will be asked to mark a 15-second moment of silence, followed by the playing of taps.

All are asked to join the national anthem, and at its conclusion, a single plane will fly over Romney Stadium.

The kickoff follows at 6:05 p.m. with action between Utah State and Idaho.

The halftime show, performed by the Utah State Marching Band, includes a variety of patriotic music.
