3-Ds of Flood Damage Repair

Document, disinfect and dry when tackling home flood damage repair, says Utah State University specialist Leona Hawks. Photograph damage before and during cleaning. If your basement flooded, pump water out slowly to prevent wall collapse. Remove contaminated mud and disinfect all surfaces. Thoroughly dry walls, ceilings, floors and furnishings to prevent mildew growth.
