Aggies Improve Lives
Make an Impact in Business & Society
As more than one in six children in Utah experience mental health conditions, it’s important to confront this crisis head on. Utah State University alum Tami Curtis is implementing sensory wellness rooms in schools throughout Utah to increase emotional intelligence, manage stress, and develop self-regulatory skills to live healthier lives.
Breaking ground through innovative and transformational education policies and practice is a longstanding Aggie tradition. Other social work graduates find meaningful careers working with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities in a wide range of settings like Tami in schools, as well as in hospitals, prisons, and community mental health centers. Others have made similar impacts from other fields, like Norah Al-Faiz, who received her master’s in instructional learning and became a champion of education in Saudi Arabia.
