About This Degree
The Secondary Science Composite Teaching Major is an innovative, multidisciplinary bachelor’s degree designed to prepare the next generation of versatile and highly skilled secondary science educators.
This unique program equips students to teach across at least three core science disciplines, making graduates exceptionally adaptable and in high demand, especially in rural and underserved schools. What You Will Learn
The program is designed to develop proficiency in multiple scientific disciplines while offering flexible degree maps tailored to student interests. This broad content knowledge ensures that students are well-versed in core scientific principles, theories, and practices relevant to a variety of high school science subjects.
Graduates will earn Professional Level 1 endorsements to teach across three of the following areas – Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, and Physics – graduating with marketable skills in multidisciplinary science content, effective teaching practice, communication, and quantitative reasoning.
