About This Degree
To teach mathematics in grades 9-12, a teacher must possess a current Utah Educator License with a secondary area of concentration and a Secondary Math Endorsement.
This endorsement is issued by the Utah Office of Education.
Undergraduate degree programs leading to teaching licensure and the Secondary Mathematics Endorsement include: Mathematics Education Major and the Mathematics and Statistics Composite Teaching Major.
The Masters of Mathematics graduate degree program can be augmented to include the requirements needed for teaching licensure and the Secondary Mathematics Endorsement.
